“Over the past ten years, I have participated in various Bible studies Anne has taught. Her love for Scripture is clear, and it is obvious she spends a great deal of time preparing. I have been engaged and challenged through her teaching-a gift God has most certainly given her. “

love conferences and retreats! I always have!

Maybe it is because I’ve seen God move powerfully in my own life through these sorts of gatherings.

I would love to participate in your retreat or conference if our schedules fit. You can expect a well-prepared, Bible-centered, Holy Spirit-driven time of teaching.

From Bible-teaching sessions addressed to hundreds of women, to practical equipping breakouts, to small gatherings of your church Bible study- I love to teach! I am excited to share all that I have learned and written about in my book. I can also help women to learn how to dive into the Bible for themselves.

“What would be your description of a skilled teacher? For me, it is someone who knows and loves their subject; and inspires others too as well. This description depicts my friend Anne! She is passionate about loving the Lord and knowing His Word. And if you get the chance to hear Anne teach, you will be inspired to know and love him too.”

I have several retreat themes I would love to share with your group.

Dropping the Baggage

So often, we as Christian women take our faith and our emotional baggage (on wheels) and simultaneously drag them along as we endeavor to walk as Jesus would. As believer’s in Jesus, we know we should be walking in freedom, but so often we find ourselves bound up by the hurts and struggles of life.  How do we find freedom from all this baggage?  How can we live out the abundant life Christ freely offers?  Thankfully for us, God’s word gives ample instruction concerning this problem. Join Bible teacher and author Anne Farnum, as she shares her journey to freedom from baggage. Together let’s explore God’s word to understand His plan for our baggage release. “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”  Galatians 5:1

The Psalm 23 Journey

“Living abundantly” is one of the most sought-after yet seemingly mysterious and elusive benefits of knowing Jesus.  We often hear people in the church say, “John 10:10- is the abundant life verse”. But what exactly is abundant living?  What does an abundant life look like? And how in the world do we attain this lavishly abundant life promised to us as Christ-followers?  One of the most well-known and recognizable Scriptures today gives us the answer to this question.  Psalm 23 is one of the “Shepherd’s Psalms” written by David.  He was a man who indisputably knew all about shepherding and sheep, and he understood abundant living.  Most of us have Psalm 23 memorized and have repeated it time and time again when a loved one is dying or has passed away.  But did you know that Psalm 23 isn’t just about bringing us peace as a loved one leaves this earth?  This Psalm, although used at funerals, is actually about life and not only life but the lavishly abundant life that the Good Shepherd offers us.  As we study Psalm 23, we will see how God wants to transform our lives into a lives that “leans into” Him and, as a result of that leaning, demonstrates God’s gift of lavishly abundant living.
